Summary:
|
WHEREAS, bids were received electronically on Thursday, October 19, 2023, after public advertisement for Masonry Restoration and Concrete Sidewalk Services Set Aside for Small, Minority, and Women Owned Business. Request for bids were issued to thirty-nine (39) vendors with ten (10) vendors responding, see award analysis; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A 18A:18A-2(y), the pricing submitted by GM Builders Group is rejected and deemed unresponsive as this vendor failed to submit a signed bid; and
WHEREAS, the term of the contract shall be for a two (2) year period commencing January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contracts was reviewed and approved by Carlos Edmundo, Acting Executive Director of Facilities Management and Operations and Krystle Whitlock, Assistant School Business Administrator. |

Recommendation to the Board

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts and approves the award of term contracts for Masonry Restoration and Concrete Sidewalk Services for a two (2) year period commencing January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025 at a cost not to exceed Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,500,000.00) to the following vendors:
Award Priority 1 D&L Paving Contractors, Inc., Nutley, NJ
Award Priority 2 K&B Contractors, LLC. Woodland Park, NJ
EXPLANATION: To provide masonry restoration and concrete sidewalk repair services. |
