Summary:
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to sell obsolete equipment that is no longer needed for the District's use or is decommissioned: and

WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-45 authorizes the disposition of personal property not needed for school purposed by sealed bid or public auction; and

WHEREAS, the equipment specifically; 2003 Freightliner (VIN#4UZAAXAL43CJ56706) and

WHEREAS, a) The Sale is being conducted Pursuant to Local Finance Notice 2008-09; b) The auction will be conducted online using GovDeals.com; c) The terms and conditions of the agreement with the vendor are available on the vendor's website and available at the Board Offices; and

WHEREAS, it is the best interest of the Newark Board of Education to dispose of said equipment.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Newark Board of Education that the obsolete equipment referenced above which is no longer needed for the District's use be disposed of according to the manner as prescribed by law.
