Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to enter into a contractual agreement with Rutgers University for capacity building training in collaborative school leadership aimed at benefiting the Newark Board of Education Administration, Board of Education members, and Newark Teachers Union leadership, faculty, and staff; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education is authorized to enter into an agreement without advertisement with the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, county or municipality or any board, body, officer, agency authority or board of education or any other state or subdivision thereof in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5b; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education will pay Rutgers University for the services provided, and the Newark Teachers Union will reimburse the Newark Board of Education for fifty percent (50%) of the contract value; and
WHEREAS, a contract agreement will be executed by the Newark Board of Education, Newark Teachers Union, and Rutgers University; and
WHEREAS, June 18, 2024, through June 30, 2025 is the duration of the contract; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Roger Leon, Superintendent. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Public School Collaboration training services from June 18, 2024 through June 30, 2025 as follows:
Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ at an amount not to exceed $192,775.00 |
