Summary:
WHEREAS, bids were electronically received on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 after public advertisement for Right To Know Complete Inventory and Updates. Request for bids were issued to ninety-four (94) vendors with three (3) vendors responding; and

WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the original contract during the March 28, 2024 Board Meeting for a two (2) year period commencing April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2026 with an option to renew for one (1) successive two (2) year period; and

WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its sole two (2) year renewal option as the current contract has reached its maximum expenditure for a term of May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2027; and

WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Carlos Edmundo, Acting Executive Director of Facilities Management and Krystle Whitlock, Assistant School Business Administrator.

Recommendation to the Board
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts and approves the renewal of term contract for Right To Know Complete Inventory and Updates for a two (2) year period commencing May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2027 as follows:

Montrose Environment Solutions, Robbinsville, NJ at a cost not to exceed $177,880.00

EXPLANATION: Per N.J. Worker and Community Right to Know Act, N.J.S.A. 34:5A-1 et seq. the District shall provide a complete inventory and annual updates for hazardous materials in Newark Board of Education facilities.
