WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education is committed to delivering an academically rigorous and culturally responsive instructional program that prepares every student for success and builds knowledge, strengthens character, cultivates ingenuity, and fosters leadership;
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education recognizes the importance of providing appropriate educational opportunities to students identified as gifted and talented, ensuring they receive the necessary support and challenges to reach their full potential;
WHEREAS, the Program includes differentiated instruction, content area acceleration, extracurricular activities, enrichment programs, mentorship opportunities, project-based learning, flexible learning paths, an interdisciplinary approach, and involvement in national societies to support the holistic development of gifted and talented students across all grade levels; |
