Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education seeks to obtain services of an experienced labor relations consultant to assist with negotiations, arbitration hearings, supplemental fringe benefits, and insurance benefits for various unions; and
WHEREAS, the District is authorized to enter into an agreement for extraordinary unspecifiable services in accordance with NJSA 18A:18A-5a (2); and
WHEREAS, October 24, 2024 through September 30, 2025 is the contract term; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Scott Carbone, Director of Labor Relations. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Labor Relations Consultant services to assist with negotiations, non-instructional arbitration hearings, impasse proceedings, and labor relation services for various unions from October 24, 2024 through September 30, 2025 as follows:
Fogarty & Hara, Counsellors At Law, South Fair Lawn, NJ at cost not to exceed $40,000.00 |
