Summary:

WHEREAS, bids were electronically received on Friday, October 11, 2024 after public advertisement for Vertical Farming Units. Request for bids were issued to five (5) vendors with one (1) vendor responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to reject the sole bid received in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22(a); as the bid substantially exceeds our cost estimates; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for rejection of the sole bid received has been reviewed and approved by Kathleen Tierney, Director of Science. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts and approves the rejection of bid for Vertical Farming Units in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-22(a). |
