Summary:
|
WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 National Declaration of Emergency proposals were electronically received on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 after public advertisement for K-12 World Language Instructional Materials. Request for proposals were issued to twelve (12) vendors with six (6) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires high-quality world language textbooks and instructional materials in Spanish and French; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the award of contract during the March 24, 2022 Board Meeting for a term of April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2024 with an option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its sole renewal option including the updated editions of Temas and AP Spanish; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Marisol Diaz, Director of Bilingual Education. |

Recommendation to the Board

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the renewal of term contract for K-12 World Language Instructional Materials for a two (2) year period commencing April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2026 as follows:
Vista Higher Learning Inc., Boston, MA at a cost not to exceed $3,000,000.00
EXPLANATION: The purchase Spanish and French instructional materials. |
