Summary:
|
WHEREAS, proposals were electronically received in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4.5 on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 after public advertisement for Public and Non-Public Individualized Education Plan Related Services. Request for proposals were issued to eighteen (18) vendors with seven (7) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires a pool of pre-qualified service providers for A) Individual Education Plan Related Services, (B) Evaluations, (C) Counseling Services, (D) Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Services, and (E) Paraprofessionals; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the original contract award during the August 24, 2023 Board Meeting for a one (1) year period commencing September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024 with an option to renew for one (1) successive two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its sole two (2) year renewal option commencing September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the total contract value shall not exceed twelve million four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($12,450,000.00) in total for all vendors. Any resultant contract will not guarantee services or funding; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contracts has been reviewed and approved by Marilyn Mitchell, Director of Special Education. |

Recommendation to the Board

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the renewal of term contracts for Public and Non-Public Individualized Education Plan Related Services for a two (2) year period of September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2026 at a total amount not exceed for all vendors of twelve million four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($12,450,000.00) as follows:
A. BiLingo Speech Therapy LLC/ Viviana Cartagena, Hackensack, NJ
B. Delta-T Group North Jersey Inc., Woodbridge, NJ
C. Jump Ahead Pediatrics LLC, Jersey City, NJ
D. Kid Clan Services Inc., Clifton, NJ
E. Soliant Health LLC, Peachtree Corners, GA
F. The Stepping Stones Group LLC, Boston, MA
EXPLANATION: To provide a pool of pre-qualified service providers for A) Individual Education Plan Related Services, (B) Evaluations, (C) Counseling Services, (D) Board Certified Behavior Analyst Services, and (E) Paraprofessionals. |
