Summary:
|
WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 National Declaration of Emergency proposals were electronically received on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 after public advertisement for Professional Nursing Services. Request for proposals were issued to twenty (20) vendors with eleven (11) vendors responding; and WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the original award of contract during the June 21, 2022 Board Meeting for a contract term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024 with an option to renew for one (1) successive two (2) year period; and WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its sole renewal option for a two (2) year period commencing July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026 increasing the contracted rates per the New Jersey Index Rate of two percent (2%) and; WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contracts has been reviewed and approved by Dr. Marguerite Leuze, Executive Director of Health Services, Marilyn Mitchell, Director of Special Education, and Yolonda Severe, Executive Director of Early Childhood. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the renewal of term contracts for Professional Nursing Services for a grand total award not to exceed four million eight hundred five thousand dollars ($4,805,000.00) for a (2) year period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026 as follows: B. Delta-T Group North Jersey Inc., Woodbridge, NJ C. Epic Health Services Inc dba Aveanna Healthcare, Atlanta, GA D. Homecare Therapies LLC dba Horizon Healthcare Staffing, Manalapan, NJ E. Medix Staffing Solutions Inc, Chicago, IL G. Preferred Home Health Care and Nursing Services Inc., Eatontown, NJ I. The Stepping Stones Group, LLC, Boston, MA J. White Glove Community Care, Brick Township, NJ EXPLANATION: To provide on-site professional nurse services. |
