WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education advertised to receive proposals on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 for Professional Environmental Engineering and Licensed Site Remediation Professional Services. Request for proposals were issued to twenty-eight (28) vendors with seven (7) vendors responding; and WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the award of contract during the December 20, 2022 Board Meeting for a two (2) year period with an option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its sole two (2) year renewal option for a term of December 20, 2024 through December 19, 2026; and WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contracts has been reviewed and approved by Carlos Edmundo, Interim Executive Director of Facilities Management and Krystle Whitlock, Assistant School Business Administrator. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the renewal of term contracts for Professional Environmental Engineering and Licensed Site Remediation Professional Services for the period of December 20, 2024 through December 19, 2026 as follows: 9618AR1 Paulus, Sokolowski and Sartor, LLC., Warren, NJ at a cost not to exceed $2,500,000.00 9618BR1 Tectonic Engineering, Consultants, Geologists & Land Surveyors, DPC, Inc., Mountainside, NJ at a cost not to exceed $2,500,000.00 EXPLANATION: To provide professional environmental engineering and licensed site remediation professional services. |
