Summary:
|
Whereas, Newark Mentoring Movement has agreed to provide professional development for mentoring as well as training and coaching to the Newark Board of Education. Whereas, Newark Mentoring Movement will work collaboratively with the new Director of Mentoring Services to successfully execute training in the Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring Handbook to all the mentoring services in Newark Public Schools High Schools. Whereas, all school based mentors will receice mentoring training and services. |

Funding :
|
There is a commitment of $60,000 of funding from the Newark Mentoring Movement to the Newark Board of Education for the sole purpose of hiring the new Director of Mentoring only if the NJ Department of Education receives the Congressionally Funded Community Projects awarded by the US Department of Education. |

Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this Memorandum of Understanding between Newark Mentoring Movement and the Newark Board of Education. |
