Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to utilize event venues large enough to accommodate graduations, conferences, and District events during the 2024-2025 school year; and
WHEREAS, the District is authorized to enter into an agreement without advertisement with the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, county or municipality or any board, body, officer, agency authority or board of education or any other state or subdivision thereof in accordance with NJSA 18A:18A-5b; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education will obtain event specific written quotations; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the authorization of renting event venues from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 at a grand total amount not to exceed one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000 .00) for the following vendors:
Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ
New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ
Rutgers University, Newark, NJ |
