:
Whereas, the Newark Board of Education is committed to the continuing improvement of the educational program of the district; and
Whereas teachers and central office personnel have authored General Music for Grades 3-5 and Music Ensemble for Grades 6-8 curriculum guides that provide a year-long overview, alignment to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards by grade level, differentiation plans, unit plans, and assessments.

Be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve General Music for Grades 3-5 and Music Ensemble for Grades 6-8 curricula.
