WHEREAS, proposals were electronically received on Friday, September 1, 2023 after public advertisement for Instructional Leadership Professional Development. Request for proposals were issued to twenty (20) vendors with fourteen (14) vendors responding; and WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires professional development services for all instructional, supervisory, and administrative personnel; and WHEREAS, proposals were evaluated by staff members of the Newark Board of Education and the committee selected the finalists identified below as the best qualified vendors based on their response to the District’s request for proposal; and WHEREAS, the contract is for a two (2) year period of October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2025 with an option to renew for one (1) successive two (2) year period; and WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Matthew Brewster, Director of Staff Development. |

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Instructional Leadership Professional Development for a two (2) year period commencing October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2025 with an option to renew for one (1) successive two (2) year period as follows: A. Educational Testing Services/ Institute for Student Achievement, Princeton, NJ at a cost not to exceed $700,000.00 B. Standard Solution LLC doing business as Inspired Instruction LLC, Washington, NJ at a cost not to exceed $700,000.00 C. Jamie Walner, Mahwah, NJ at a cost not to exceed $1,400,000.00 D. University of Pittsburg/ University of Pittsburg Institute for Learning, Pittsburg, PA at a cost not to exceed 200,00.00 EXPLANATION: To provide professional development services for all instructional, supervisory, and administrative personnel. |
