Summary:
|
WHEREAS, pursuant to the New Jersey Employer-Employee Relations Act, N.J.S.A. 34:13A-1, the Board engages in collective negotiations with authorized representatives of recognized employee bargaining units; and
WHEREAS, the Board and the NTA are parties to a Collective Bargaining Agreement that expired on June 30, 2024 and the Parties have engaged in good faith negotiations and have agreed to a Successor Collective Bargaining Agreement that covers the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029; and
WHEREAS, the terms of the Successor Collective Bargaining Agreement, to the extent modified through those good faith negotiations, are contained in a Memorandum of Agreement (“MOA”) dated January 29, 2025 and all provisions of the expired Collective Bargaining Agreement that are not modified by the MOA remain in full force and effect; and
WHEREAS, on February 5, 2025 a majority of the members of the NTA ratified the terms and conditions set forth in the MOA.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
That the terms and conditions of the Successor Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board and the NTA are hereby ratified and approved for the term commencing July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2029 and the Superintendent and Board President shall be, and hereby are, authorized and directed to execute the Successor Collective Bargaining Agreement for said term on behalf of the Board.
