Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires student neurodevelopmental and pharmacological treatment consultations and coordination of medical/behavioral services for students attending New Jersey Regional Day School during 2024-2025 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education previously issued a request for quotation for Neurodevelopmental and Pharmacological Treatment Consulting; and
WHEREAS, the District is authorized to award a contract without public advertisement for professional services in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (1); and
WHEREAS, Dr. Marilyn Q Ruiz, MD has agreed to a new (1) one-year contract for a period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 with no increase in the original quoted price; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Larry Ramkissoon, Principal of New Jersey Regional Day, and Carolyn Granato, Assistant Superintendent.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Neurodevelopmental and Pharmacological Treatment Consultation services for students at New Jersey Regional Day School for a one (1) year period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 as follows:
Marilyn Q Ruiz, MD, Mendham, NJ at a cost not to exceed $103,500.00
Explanation: To provide neurodevelopmental consultation and pharmacological treatment and coordination of medical/behavioral services for students attending New Jersey Regional Day School.
