Summary:
|
WHEREAS, quotations were electronically received on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 after public advertisement for Milk and Milk Products. Request for quotations were issued to ten (10) vendors with one (1) vendor responding; and
WHEREAS, in accordance of NJSA 18A:18A-5a (6), the District is authorized to award a contract without public advertising for food supplies; and
WHEREAS, the District’s request quotation and the vendor’s response will become the contract; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for a one (1) year commencing July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 with an option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year period; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Krystle Whitlock, Assistant School Business Administrator.

NOW, THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Milk and Milk Products for a one (1) year period commencing July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 with an option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year period as follows:
Farmland Fresh Dairies, Newark, NJ at a cost not to exceed $2,255,239.05
EXPLANATION: To provide the students of the Newark Board of Education with a balanced and nutritious school lunch.
