Summary:

WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education awarded a contract to Pax Mundus Enterprise, LLC., 7 Tamaron Court, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852 during the October 30, 2023 Board Meeting in the amount of $1,489,000.00. An additional $297,800.00 was approved for encumbrance as a contingency allowance; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to amend the current contract for inclusion of an additional funding source; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for amendment of contract was reviewed and approved by Carlos Edmundo, Acting Executive Director of Facilities Management and Krystle Whitlock, Assistant School Business Administrator.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the amendment of contract for Emergent Structural Repairs and Demolition of Subsurface Vaults at Wilson Avenue School for inclusion of an additional funding source in the amount of $1,489,000.00 with a 20% contingency allowance of $297,800.00.
