Summary:
|
WHEREAS, Hobsons Inc. was originally awarded contract 9354 for Student Career Planning Services at the June 22, 2021 Board meeting for one (1) year period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, during the term of this contract Hobsons Inc. assigned their assets to PowerSchool Group LLC so that Hobsons Inc. rights, duties, obligations, title, and interests related to contract 9354 were likewise assigned to PowerSchool Group LLC; and
WHEREAS, there are no other changes to the terms and conditions of contract 9354; and
WHEREAS, under the terms of this contract, any assignment of a contract must be approved by the Newark Board of Education; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation to consent to the assignment and assumption of contract 9354 has been reviewed and approved by Mary Leigh Harvey, Director of Student Life.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts, approves, and consents to the assignment and assumption of contract 9354 from Hobsons Inc. to PowerSchool Group LLC with no other changes in the terms and conditions of contract 9354 for Naviance college and career readiness software.
EXPLANATION: Consent required to maintain the current contract. Subject to availability of funds.
