Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education has a need to provide reduced parking rates for District employees that drive to work on a daily basis at a facility in close proximity to Central Office; and
WHEREAS, the District and employees shall purchase a license fee per monthly parker at the following cost:
Monthly District Payment per Employee $40.00
Monthly Employee Payment $120.00
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education is authorized to enter into an agreement for extraordinary unspecifiable services in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (2); and
WHEREAS, the parking agreement is for a three (3) year period of November 1, 2023 through October 31, 2026 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Valerie Wilson, School Business Administrator.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Facility Parking for a three (3) year period of November 1, 2023 through October 31, 2026 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period as follows:
261 University Parking Company LLC, Newark NJ at a cost not to exceed $298,800.00
EXPLANATION: To provide parking for District employees.
