Summary:
|
Whereas, Project Lead the Way, in partnership with Verizon Innovative Learning, has selected Dr. William H Horton Elementary School to receive $7,500 to offer Project Lead the Way Gateway courses to its students; and
Whereas, PLTW Gateway consists of 10 units that empower students to lead their own discovery. The hands-on program boosts classroom engagement and excitement, drives collaboration, and inspires deep comprehension. Students engage in PLTW’s activities in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science; and
Whereas, the grant period is from January 2022 to June 30, 2023 and will be managed by the school.

Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, the Newark Board of Educations accepts the award from the Project Lead the Way in the amount of $7,500 for fiscal year 2021-2022 and will comply with all the conditions and terms in the grant agreement.
