Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Office of Special Education requires Individualized Education Program service providers for non-public school students for social assessments, educational, psychological, and speech evaluations; and
WHEREAS, the District is authorized to enter into an agreement without advertisement with the United States of America, the State of New Jersey, county or municipality or any board, body, officer, agency authority or board of education or any other state or subdivision thereof in accordance with NJSA 18A:18A-5b; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for a period of February 28, 2022 through June 30, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Marilyn Mitchell, Director of Special Education.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract commencing February 28, 2022 through June 30, 2022 for Non-Public Schools Individualized Education Program Related Services as follows:
Essex Regional Educational Services Commission, Fairfield, NJ at a cost not to exceed $100,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide Individualized Education Program Related Services for non-public schools as required. Subject to availability of funds.
