Summary: Whereas, the Newark Board of Education is committed to the continuing improvement of the educational program of the district; and

Whereas teachers and central office personnel have authored high school CTE curriculum guides, course proficiencies, and syllabi for Hospitality & Tourism IV.

Whereas the document provides a year-long overview, philosophy statement, course description, statement on culturally responsive-sustaining education, integrated accommodations for special education, English Language Learners, Students at risk for school failure, gifted and talented students, and students with 504 plan; Career and Technical Education Best Practices, Integration of 21st Century Life and Career Skills, Core Instructional and Supplemental Materials, Pacing Guide, Curriculum Map, Units of Studies and Assessments.
Funding : No cost to district.
Recommendation to the Board: BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education approve the high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) Curricula, Course Proficiencies, and Syllabi for Hospitality & Tourism IV.
