Summary: Whereas, Bergen Community College will enter into Dual Enrollment Agreement with the Newark Board of Education at Barringer High School.
Whereas, Dual Enrollment has been agreed upon to support the Music Technology Pathway. These courses carry the equivalent number of college credits that traditional college students receive for taking the course(s) at BCC
Whereas, Bergen Community College courses will offer CTE students rigorous academic courses. Whereas, Barringer High School will offer certified teachers with appropriate credentials to teach the course. Professional development will be granted to the instructors for their participation in the program.
Funding : Will not exceed $43,500
Recommendation to the Board: Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this Dual Enrollment Agreement between Bergen Community College and the Newark Board of Education to offer Dual Enrollment Courses at Barringer High School.
