Summary:
|
WHEREAS, proposals were received on February 7, 2018 after public advertisement for Pre-Qualification Solicitation for Instructional Materials and Professional Development for Curriculum and Learning Environments, proposals were issued to fifty-five (55) vendors with thirty-eight (38) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the initial award of contracts at the March 27, 2018 Board Meeting for a three (3) year period form date of award, with the option to renew for two (2) successive one (1) year periods; and
WHERERAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the first amendment at the September 24, 2020 Board Meeting and the second amendment at the December 22, 2020 Board Meeting for inclusion of additional funding sources; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education approved the first renewal option at the March 25, 2021 Board Meeting for a contract period of March 25, 2021 through March 24, 2022 with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year period; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to increase the contract award value for McGraw Hill Education to purchase additional instructional materials including English Language Arts materials; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for amendment of term contract was reviewed and approved by Dr. Mary Ann Reilly, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THERE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the amendment of term contract for Instructional Materials and Professional Development for Curriculum and Learning Environments for a contract period of March 25, 2021 through March 24, 2022 with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year period as follows:
P. McGraw Hill Education, Columbus, OH at a cost not to exceed from $700,000.00 to $1,200,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide pre-qualified instructional material and professional development providers to aid in the delivery and establishment of highly effective learning environments. Subject to the availability of funds.
