Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education has committed itself to addressing academic excellence in its schools and the development of the highest potential in each student; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5(a)5, the District is authorized to award a contract without public advertising for educational goods and services; and
WHERAS, the District desires to purchase health instructional materials and licenses to aid in the delivery and establishment of highly effective learning environments; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award was reviewed and approved by Elizabeth Aranjo, Director of Health and Physical Education and Dr. Mary Ann Reilly, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education approves the award of contract for Health Instructional Materials from August 16, 2021 through August 31, 2022 as follows:
McGraw Hill, Columbus, OH at a cost not to exceed $450,000.00
EXPLANATION: To meet the educational requirements of New Jersey and the District’s Education Plan. Subject to the availability of funds.
