Summary:
|
WHEREAS, in accordance with P.L. 2007, c. 137 and N.J.A.C 6A:26-2, each school district must amend its Long-Range Facilities Plan (LRFP) at least once every five years, which is referred to as a “Major Amendment.” The amendment includes updates on the web-based LRFP reporting system and the submission of supporting documents to the New Jersey Office of School Facilities Planning (OSF).
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:26-2 the Department of Education (NJDOE) requires New Jersey School Districts to amend its long–range facilities (LRFP) plan at least once every five (5) years to coordinate with project application and to update enrollment projections, building capacities, and health and safety issues; and
WHEREAS, in order to meet the reporting and updating requirements, the Newark Board of Education has retained DIGroup Architecture, LLC. to perform the necessary amendments to the Newark Board of Education’s Long Range Facilities Plan.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts and authorizes the submission of the Major Amendment to the Newark Board of Education’s Long Range Facilities Plan in accordance with the requirements of the New Jersey Department of Education
