Summary:

WHEREAS, Myon, LLC was originally awarded contract 8860R for Instructional Materials and Professional Development for Curriculum and Learning Environments at the March 27, 2018 Board meeting for a three (3) year period commencing March 20, 2018 through March 19, 2021, with an option to renew for two (2) successive one (1) year periods; and WHEREAS, effective March 16, 2018 Myon LLC assigned their contract obligation to Renaissance Learning Inc., so that Myon LLC’s rights, duties, obligations, title, and interests related to contract 8860R will be likewise assigned to Renaissance Learning Inc.; and WHEREAS, there are no other changes to the terms and conditions of contract 886R0; and WHEREAS, under the terms of this contract, any assignment of a contract must be approved by the Newark Board of Education; and WHEREAS, the recommendation to consent to the assignment and assumption of contract 8860R has been reviewed and approved by Timothy Nellegar, Director of Educational Technology and Dr. Mary Ann Reilly, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts, approves and consents to the assignment and assumption of contract 8860R from Myon LLC to Renaissance Learning Inc., with no other changes in the terms and conditions of contract 8860R for Instructional Materials and Professional Development for Curriculum and Learning Environments from December 21, 2021 through March 24, 2022 with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year period as follows: 8860R Renaissance Learning Inc., Wisconsin Rapids, WI at a cost not to exceed $700,000.00 EXPLANATION: Consent required to maintain the current contract.
