Summary:
|
Whereas, as part of the Newark Board of Education To & Through (T & T) Project, the Joseph C. Cornwall Center for Metropolitan Studies (Cornwall Center) has developed annual teacher and student surveys in efforts to support the work around Freshmen Success. The purpose of the surveys is to identify relative strengths and weaknesses in each high school's culture as it relates to providing student supports and creating a culture of data and research use. The Cornwall Center is asking to survey all high schools in order to compare the progress of those participating in sessions with the Network for College Success with those that are not. The Cornwall Center is supporting NBOE efforts to increase the numbers of students who graduate well-prepared for college and the workforce by providing expert guidance and research insight.
