Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education seeks to secure the services of an experienced construction advisor with documented success to assist with facilitating the ongoing Energy Savings Improvement Program (ESIP), Facility Condition Assessment (FCA), Long Range Facility Plan (LRFP) and Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) projects; and
WHEREAS, the District is authorized to enter into an agreement for extraordinary unspecifiable services in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (2); and
WHEREAS, the contract is for a two (2) year period with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Lisa Abdul, Management Specialist and Rodney L. Williams, Director of Energy and Sustainability.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for construction advisory services to assist with facilitating ongoing ESIP, FAC, and LRFP and STEM projects for a two (2) year period commencing with date of award with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period as follows:
Cross Creek Solutions, LLC, Rumson, NJ at an annual cost not to exceed $120,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide construction advisory services for ongoing ESIP, FCA and LRFP projects. Subject to the availability of funds.
