Summary:

WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education received proposals on Friday, January 7, 2022 for Architect and Design Planning Services; request for proposals were issued to three (3) vendors with one (1) vendor responding; and
WHEREAS, the District desires professional architect and design planning services for the School of Architecture and Interior Design located at 155 Jefferson Street, Newark, NJ 07105; and
WHEREAS, the contract term shall not exceed a one (1) year period; and
WHEREAS, the District can award a contract without public advertisement for professional services in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (1); and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Krystle Whitlock, Assistant School Business Administrator.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education hereby accepts and approves the award of term contract for Architect and Design Planning Services for a one (1) year period of January 19, 2022 through January 18, 2023 as follows:
RSC Architects, P.A., Hackensack, NJ at a cost not to exceed $137,720.000
