Summary: Whereas, the purpose of this study is to ascertain the impact of YANJEP’s Antiracist Initiative to communicate principles and processes of antiracist action through the arts with school partner educators and students. This study will be guided by the following research question: How and in what ways do school partner educators and students experience the Antiracism Program Initiative (API)? Whereas, in order to respond to this question, teachers and students at Mt. Vernon who participate in the workshop will respond to pre- and post- surveys as well as participate in interviews and focus groups to garner feedback about the workshop.

The researcher requests to conduct pre/post surveys for students and teachers who participate in the Anti-Racism workshop.

Principal researcher and their agents will maintain all client information confidentially in accordance with all New jersey state and federal laws and regulations.
Funding : No cost to the district.
Recommendation to the Board: Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this Research and Data Agreement between Young Audiences and the Newark Board of Education.
