Summary:
|
WHEREAS, bids were electronically received on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 after public advertisement for Career and Technical Education Technology Supplies and Equipment. Request for bids were issued to fifteen (15) vendors with two (2) vendors responding, see award analysis; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-2(y), the bid submitted by LEGO Brand Retail, Inc. doing business as LEGO Education is rejected and deemed non-responsive as this vendor bid unapproved alternative items for exploration of physical science; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4, the District shall award only by resolution of the Board of Education to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after public advertisement for bids; and
WHEREAS, the contract term is January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Sandra Marques, Director of Career and Technical Education.

NOW THERE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Career and Technical Education Technology Supplies and Equipment from January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025 as follows:
Beacon Graphics LLC, Branchburg, NJ awarded 1 item at a cost not to exceed $ 59,535.00
EXPLANATION: To purchase Career and Technical Education supplies for high school students.
