Summary: Whereas, Rutgers Newark has agreed to provide a syllabus to the Newark Board of Education for Astronomy and Cosmology. Whereas, the course will identify differences between stellar objects and students will learn about phenomena such as Newton's Law of Gravitation, Kepler's Laws and Doppler Effect. Whereas, students will learn about galaxies and the main components of the Universe.
Funding : No cost to the district for syllabus.
Recommendation to the Board: Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this syllabus between Rutgers-Newark University and the Newark Board of Education for the course, Astronomy and Cosmology.
