Summary: Whereas, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s mission is to create a world where every person has the opportunity to live a healthy, productive life; and

Whereas, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation awarded Newark Board of Education a grant amount of $25,000 to support First Avenue school, an early part of a Newark/Khan partnership to implement Khanmigo; and

Whereas, the grant funding will be managed by First Avenue School for the 2024-2025 school year.

Recommendation to the Board: Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, the Newark Board of Education accepts the grant award of $25,000 from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for First Avenue School and intends to comply with the components established in the grant agreement.
