Summary:
|
Whereas, the Cornwall Center will continue to maintain a research-practice partnership with the Newark Board of Education, engaging in research of relevance to the Board's strategic framework. Whereas, the research agenda includes the ongoing reporting and research studies pertaining to the process and impact of 1) the To & Through project; 2) instruction and coaching; 3) STEM course pathways; 4) NBOE schools as positive outliers in various dimensions; and 5) other programs such as after school offerings. The Center will lend expertise and evaluate programs, initiatives, and policies of importance to the district, such as after-school programming. Whereas, the Center will provide methodological expertise and capacity to support studies which the district is leading.
Principal Researcher and their agents will maintain all client information confidentially in accordance with all New Jersey state and federal laws and regulations.

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve the Memorandum of Understanding between Rutgers University - Joseph C. Cornwall Center for Metropolitan Studies and the Newark Board of Education.
