Summary:
|
WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 National Declaration of Emergency bids were electronically received on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 after public advertisement for Furnish and Deliver Indoor Signage, request for bids were issued to twenty-one (21) vendors with one (1) vendor responding, see award summary; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4, the District shall award only by resolution of the board of education to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after public advertisement for bids; and
WHEREAS, the term of the contract shall be for a two (2) year period commencing with date of award with an option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Lisa Abdul, Management Specialist and Wali F. Thomas, Director of Custodial Services.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THERE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract to Furnish and Deliver Indoor Signage for a two (2) year period commencing with date of award with an option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period to the following vendor:
KNA Graphics, Inc. d/b/a Signarama, Kenilworth, NJ at a cost not to exceed $100,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide indoor signage throughout the District on an as needed basis.
