Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to retain the services of Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to perform on site nursing services at multiple Early Childhood centers within the City of Newark and District sites; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A-18A-5a (1), the District can award a contract for professional services without advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the contract shall be for a one (1) year period of September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contracts has been reviewed and approved by Yolonda Severe, Executive Director of Early Childhood.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contracts for on-site nursing services at Early Childhood centers and or other District sites for a one (1) year period commencing September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022. The total cost annually of all contracts awarded shall not exceed one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) as follows:
A. Bayada Home Health Care Inc., Pennsauken, NJ
B. Delta-T Group North Jersey Inc., Woodbridge, NJ
C. Homecare Therapies LLC dba Horizon Healthcare Staffing, Manalapan, NJ
D. Medix Staffing Solutions Inc., Parsippany, NJ
E. Preferred Home Health Care and Nursing Services, Eatontown, NJ
F. Starlight Homecare Agency dba Star Pediatric Home Care Agency, Saddle Brook, NJ
Explanation: To provide on-site nursing services at Early Childhood centers and other District locations as needed. Subject to availability of funds.
