Summary: WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires for students to participate in the Harvard Pre-College Summer Residential Program for students to explore the expectations of college academics and earn college credits; and

WHEREAS, the District is authorized to enter into an agreement for extraordinary unspecifiable services in accordance with NJSA 18A:18A-5a (2); and

WHEREAS, the recommendation for award for term contract was reviewed and approved by Dr. Maria Ortiz, Assistant Superintendent.

Recommendation to the Board: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Harvard Summer Programming from June 21, 2025 through August 8, 2025 as follows:

Harvard University/ President and Fellows of Harvard College, Cambridge, MA at a cost not to exceed $133,800.00
