Summary: Whereas, The New Jersey Children’s Foundation (NJCF) is a non-profit corporation organized and operated for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; and

Whereas, NJCF has allocated Malcolm X Shabazz High School with a grant award of $7,500 to support its charitable, scientific, or educational activities as a result of participating and being one of the winner’s of the 2024 FAFSA Challenge.
Funding : Whereas, the grant award is for $7,500 for the 2024-2025 school year.
Recommendation to the Board: Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, the Newark Board of Education accepts the grant award of $7,500 from the New Jersey Children’s Foundation to Malcolm X Shabazz High School and intends to comply with the components established in the grant agreement.
