WHEREAS the Board of Education is required to annually appoint certain officers and required to designate individuals to various roles to coordinate and implement compliance with legal requirements; and WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of Education finds that the individuals named below are suitable for the positions and roles for which they are hereby appointed;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the City of Newark hereby authorizes and approves the following appointments for the 2025-2026 school year, beginning July 1, 2025: Medical Inspector: Samuel Caruth Affirmative Action Officer: Yolanda Mendez Affirmative Action Officer for Contracts: Sherelle Spriggs Public Agency Compliance Officer: Valerie Wilson Title IX Coordinator: Yolanda Mendez Custodian of Records: Pamela Luke 504/ADA Coordinator: Jacquelin Chavis Indoor Air Quality Officer: Benjamin Ogaladeyo Chemical Hygiene Officer: Scarlet Gaudin
