Summary:

WHEREAS, by resolution adopted at its Reorganization Meeting on May 11, 2023, the Board of Education of the City of Newark (“Board”) authorized and approved a professional services contract with the law firm of Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader, LLC, to serve as outside counsel in assigned matters with terms including but not limited to billing rates of $200.00 per hour for attorneys and $90.00 for paralegals, subject to the availability of funds;
WHEREAS, Lester Taylor, Esq. has advised the Board that effective October 1, 2023, he will be moving from Florio Perrucci Steinhardt & Fader, LLC to another law firm, the Taylor Law Group; LLC, and
WHEREAS, the Board wishes to continue the authorization and approval for Mr. Taylor to serve as its counsel;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board hereby approves the appointment of the Taylor Law Group, LLC, as outside counsel in assigned matters and authorizes a professional services contract with this firm with terms approved by General Counsel, including but not limited to billing rates of $200.00 for attorneys and $90.00 for paralegals, for the period October 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024, subject to the availability of funds.
