Summary: The United Community Corporation has agreed to provide after school activities, STEAM, gaming, dance and a summer program. Whereas, the staff has the education, certification and training to provide the services responsibly.

United Community Corporation will offer a virtual program for students. They also will offer grocery deliveries to the families in need. The families will be given the option to get supplies for activities delivered.
Each month a community/family engagement will be held at Westside Park that includes food distribution, winter coats, face masks, and clothing.
 Monthly community engagements:
Monthly October 2021 –August 2022
S.T.E.AM and College Readiness : students will engage in science , math, and art projects
October 2021- June 2022
 Recreation and Fitness : October 2021- June 2022
 Homework help: daily October –June
 Field trips: October 2021- August 2022
 Cultural dance class – March 2022- June 2022
 Saturday Academy : March 2022- May 2022
 Summer program will include chess class, fitness, field trips, summer package assistance:
July 2022- August 2022.

These services will be offered at Harriet Tubman ES.
Funding : No cost to the district
Recommendation to the Board: Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve this Memorandum of Understanding between United Community Corporation and the Newark Board of Education.
