Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to provide testing supplies and training for initial evaluations of students in second and third grades to determine a students’ eligibility for gifted and talented programming; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education can award a term contract in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (5) without advertisement for educational goods and services; and
WHEREAS, the contract shall be for a one (1) year period commencing September 26, 2024 through June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Rochanda Jackson, Executive Director of Policy, Planning, Evaluation and Testing.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of contract for Student Assessments and ancillary training services from September 26, 2024 through June 30, 2025 as follows:
Riverside Assessments LLC doing business as Riverside Insights, Itasca, IL at a cost not to exceed $88,792.90
EXPLANATION: To provide assessment materials for initial evaluations of students in second and third grades to determine a students’ eligibility for gifted and talented programming.
