Summary:
|
WHEREAS, bids were electronically received on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 after public advertisement for Document Cameras. Request for bids were issued to thirty-one (31) vendors with six (6) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4, the District shall award only by resolution of the Board of Education to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after public advertisement for bids; and
WHEREAS, the total cost lowest bidder iCreate To Educate Inc. doing business as Hue is rejected as the alternative proposed is unapproved; and
WHEREAS, Newark Board of Education shall award the next total cost lowest bidder; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for a two (2) year period commencing July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Abdullah Ansari, Executive Director of Information Technology.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Document Cameras for a two (2) year period commencing July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026 as follows:
Bluum USA Inc., Phoenix, AZ awarded 7 items at a cost not to exceed $113,700.00
EXPLANATION: To provide document cameras for classroom use to aid in in the establishment of highly-effective learning environments.
