Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education’s Office of Extended Learning Time desires to purchase Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) instructional materials for students in first through eighth grade; and WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (5), the District is authorized to award a contract without public advertising for library and educational goods and services; and WHEREAS, the term of the contract shall be for a period not to exceed one (1) year commencing with date of award and concluding June 30, 2022; and WHEREAS, the recommendation for award was reviewed and approved by Julianne Bello, Director of Extended Learning Time.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the purchase of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Instructional Materials from date of award through June 30, 2022 as follows: National Inventors Hall of Fame, North Canton, OH at a cost not to exceed $64,000.00 EXPLANATION: To provide instructional materials for students with fun challenges that emphasize STEM, creative problem solving, collaboration, and entrepreneurship through innovation. Subject to availability of funds.
