Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to administer student assessments for gathering relevant information evaluating performance and progress; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education recognizes that the provision of assessments includes the cost of item development, printing and shipping tests/ test booklets, and online access; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education can award a term contract in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5a (5) without advertisement for educational goods and services; and
WHEREAS, the contract shall not exceed a one (1) year period commencing July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contracts was reviewed and approved by Rochanda Jackson, Executive Director of Policy, Planning, Evaluation, and Testing.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW, THEREFORE IT IS RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contracts for Student Assessment and Related Services including ancillary training for a term of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 as follows:
A. North West Evaluation Association (NWEA), Portland, OR at a cost not to exceed $511,675.00
B. Wisconsin Center for Education Products and Services, Madison, WI at a cost not to exceed $60,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide student assessments and related services.
