Summary: WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires for twelve students to participate in the Pratt Institute Precollege Summer Program to strengthen academic and practical skills, and earn two elective college credits; and

WHEREAS, the District is authorized to enter into an agreement for extraordinary unspecifiable services in accordance with NJSA 18A:18A-5a (2); and

WHEREAS, the recommendation of award for term contract was reviewed and approved by Dr. Maria Ortiz, Assistant Superintendent

Recommendation to the Board: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Precollege Summer Programing from July 8, 2024 through August 4, 2024 as follows:

Pratt Institute School, Brooklyn, NY at a cost not to exceed $84,981.00
