Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education has committed itself to addressing academic excellence in its schools and the development of the highest potential in each student; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-5(a)5, the District is authorized to award a contract without public advertising for educational goods and services; and
WHERAS, the District desires to purchase health instructional materials to aid in the delivery and establishment of highly effective learning environments; and
WHEREAS, June 18, 2024 through June 30, 2025 is the contract term; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract was reviewed and approved by Elizabeth Aranjo, Director of Health and Physical Education.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of contract for Health Instructional Materials from June 18, 2024 through June 30, 2025 as follows:
McGraw Hill, Columbus, OH at a cost not to exceed $43,951.72
EXPLANATION: To meet the educational requirements of New Jersey and the District’s Education Plan.
